Application Process Stage 1

Ask yourself the following questions to take firm steps towards becoming an eTwinning school. If your answers are positive, you are fulfilling the prerequisites for becoming an eTwinning school.

  1. Has your school been registered with the eTwinning Portal for at least two years?

  2. Do you have at least two teachers with active eTwinning projects in your school?

  3. Have you a European eTwinning Project which has received at least National Quality Label?

If your answer is “Yes” for these questions, your school meets the prerequisites for applying to the eTwinning School Label and all registered eTwinners at your school are sent an e-mail invitation to complete a self-assessment application form available on eTwinning Live. You will also have a visible link for your application on eTwinning live. If your school has these requirements and you have not received an email or if you do not have a visible link on eTwinning live, you must apply to the National Support Service (NSS).

In addition to these prerequisites, your school administrators must be registered in the portal, and the eTwinning logo must be linked to the eTwinning Portal on your school website.

It is also important to complete and submit the application form on time.

If a school fulfils these requirements, all registered eTwinners in the school receive an email invitation to complete a self-assessment application form through eTwinning Live.

It should not be forgotten that the concept of Achieving the Status of an eTwinning School is a developmental journey that involves objectively evaluable components.

It is not a competition but the process of progressing from one level to another.
